Highlights From Our Inaugural Golf On The Ranch
Our first Golf On The Ranch was a blast! We welcomed dozens of people from near and far, of all ages, skill, and experience. There was plenty of laughter, divots, instruction and memories. Some of our guests had played golf before, and some hadn’t…and no one had played golf on a Wild Mustang Ranch before. 🤠
A few guests received golf instruction while others enjoyed the 6 Hole Fun Course. The course was a nice balance of challenge and fun, with more than a few balls that went swimming 💦 but there were also a couple of holes in one!! After the golf, all the guests got to learn about our mustangs and see them out in the pasture. On more than one occasion, the entire main herd came over to the area where everyone was gathered to soak up the attention (Shy Boy led the herd of course). Guests were able to meet the mustangs and even pet some of them 😊
It was a day full of joy and a great learning experience for all. Being able to welcome so many people from local communities was especially heartwarming. Some of the guests had visited prior, while others were enjoying their first time out to the ranch and their first time seeing wild mustangs! It’s always nice to let people know they don’t have to travel all the way out west to see mustangs in person- there are plenty of beautiful, lovable, wonderful mustangs right here in Lyons, GA!
We hope everyone left with wonderful memories and a special place in their heart for wild mustangs. The golf was a lot of fun, but more importantly we got to introduce everyone to the work we are doing to help mustangs in this country. Horses are always at the center of what we do, and anyone who participates in our events, coaching, training, clinics, etc is directly contributing to the well-being of American Mustangs.
